Don’t believe me? Then just watch all the times it feels like you’re sabotaging yourself. That’s actually not you messing things up; it’s her!
Self sabotage seems to make no sense. You tell yourself, “This time, I’m going to stick to my guns,” but then you throw everything out the window.
What gives?
Shirley.
She even looks like the world’s most famous Shirley. (As in, Temple, Shirley Temple.)
Shirley knows how to get her way. And by “her way” I mean, not your way. No matter how badly you may say you want something, if Shirley starts to feel uncomfortable, you’ll be shaking your head wondering why you did the opposite of what you said you were going to do.
Good bye plans. Sayonara goals. Shirley is running the show.
Because…
Your subconscious fear will always trump your conscious desire.
In other words, what Shirley says goes.
Unless…
You wise yourself up and pay attention to what’s really going on in your mind… and hers. Yes, Shirley thinks and she makes you think you’re thinking what she’s thinking. Don’t fall for it.
