WHAT YOU STAND FOR?
If you don’t know what you stand for, you can’t stand UP for anything.
Period.
Like I always say, talk is cheap. We can say all kinds of things, but if we don’t back it up with walking that talk, what’s left of us?
I’m the first to admit that it’s not easy to stand up for our values, especially in the face of temptation (I see you Cheese Danish) or someone’s disapproval (“When are you going to get a real job?”).
Do you stand UP for what you value most in life? Because to the extent that there is struggle, angst, fear, doubt, and resentment in your life, chances are, you’re not standing up for something that’s important to you.
I have worked with so many women who struggle to “live their best life” because, even though they have a pretty good idea what they stand for, they don’t stand UP for it. They think they do, but they don’t.
For example, they will say they stand for living life on their terms, but they hide in the shadows when it comes to putting themselves, and their businesses, “out there.” They say it’s because their websites are not ready, or they’re not sure about their niche, but the truth is, Self Doubt has them paralyzed.
Same goes for taking care of our bodies. We can say we’ll do right by our bodies, but the proof is in the way we treat our bodies and how we feel in our bodies.
I used to be that way. I completely understand. Which is why I’m so good at pulling women out of Self Doubt so that they can get on with living life on their terms.
Integrity is one of my “words.” Living in integrity is not easy to do, but it is simple: know what you stand for and then stand UP for it.
