AXIS OF DIGNITY Like I always say, “Without Dignity, there’s not much left of a woman.”

Dignity is the axis around which happy, fulfilled, gutsyass women live their lives.

Dignity is a core pillar of my new modern-day, sophisticated, kinda rebellious Gutsy Self Care Model.

The model has 4 pillars, but they all turn on what I call the Axis of Dignity.Axis of Dignity and the New Self Care Model

This new method of practicing self care starts with reclaiming the Dignity we lost when we were children.

You see, each of us was born whole and dignified.

And almost as a rite of passage – kinda like losing our teeth – we lost our Dignity. Self doubt quickly set in and it shattered our sense of Self worth.

But unlike losing our teeth, our Dignity doesn’t automatically come back. We must work to become whole again.

Until then, our sole purpose is to get our Dignity back.

Because without it we are rudderless.

It’s why we always think “there’s something missing,” or, “I have to figure this out,” or, “What’s wrong with me?”

What’s “wrong” is that we haven’t yet put the pieces of our Self back together, which leaves us feeling admittedly ho-hum, unfulfilled, and like we have a low-grade fever caused by anxiety, stress, frustration, blame, and any one of what I call the 50 shades of shame.

Three other important aspects of the Axis of Dignity are identity, integrity, and equanimity.

Your identity is how you see yourself and your place in the world. It’s represented by the kind of woman you are today – the kind of woman who got you here. She’s not yet the kind of woman who can get you there.

Integrity is knowing what you stand for and standing up for it. It’s not enough to say you have values. You also have to live by them.

Equanimity is about your ability to manage your mind through the process of becoming the kind of woman who can get you where you want to go. This is the deep inner work that not only heals us, but woman by woman, heals the world.

Whether you’re starting your own business or looking for a new job or wanting more out of your relationships, or wishing you could lose weight, one of two things will happen:

  1. You’ll get more of what you always get, however that may look in your life, or…

  2. You’ll become a gutsyass woman who gets what she wants because she’s learned to practice an entirely new Gutsy Self Care Model.
